2. Accepting these terms

By accessing vehiclehistoryhub.co.uk or purchasing any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, you must not use our service.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of Vehicle History Hub. They should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The current version will always be published on this page with the date of the last update. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Who can use this service

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a report from Vehicle History Hub. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are 18 or over. Our service is intended for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Our services

Vehicle History Hub provides instant digital vehicle history reports for UK-registered vehicles. We offer three report tiers:

  • Basic (ยฃ4.99) โ€” DVLA registration data, tax and MOT status, vehicle specifications
  • Standard (ยฃ9.99) โ€” Everything in Basic, plus full MOT history, mileage verification, finance check, stolen vehicle check, and write-off category check
  • Premium (ยฃ14.99) โ€” Everything in Standard, plus market valuation, keeper change history, import/export check, and AI-powered buyer analysis

Full details of what each tier includes are set out on our Services page. We reserve the right to modify the content of each tier at any time, provided the overall level of service remains as described.

Nature of the service

Our reports are informational tools only. They are intended to assist in making a purchasing decision โ€” they are not a guarantee of a vehicle's condition, history, title, or fitness for purpose. The data returned is sourced from third-party databases and reflects what those databases hold at the time of the request.

Important: Vehicle History Hub is not a regulated financial adviser, legal adviser, or vehicle inspection service. Nothing in our reports should be construed as financial, legal, or mechanical advice.

4. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Data accuracy

Our reports are generated using data from official UK databases including DVLA, DVSA, national finance registers, and police records, accessed via the Vehicle Data Global API. While we take reasonable steps to ensure data quality, we cannot guarantee that the information returned is complete, up to date, or free from error. Third-party databases may contain inaccuracies, gaps, or delays that are outside our control.

In particular:

  • Finance agreements may take time to be registered and may not appear immediately in a search
  • Stolen vehicle reports may not be registered at the time of the check
  • Write-off categories may not be recorded if the vehicle was repaired without an insurance claim
  • Mileage records only reflect what was recorded at each MOT โ€” private service history is not included
  • Recently registered vehicles or recently imported vehicles may have limited history

No guarantee of vehicle condition

A clear report โ€” one that returns no finance, no write-off, no stolen flag, and consistent mileage โ€” does not guarantee that the vehicle is in good mechanical condition, accurately described by the seller, or free from all defects or liabilities. We strongly recommend obtaining an independent mechanical inspection for any vehicle before purchase.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable UK law, Vehicle History Hub shall not be liable for:

  • Any loss or damage arising from reliance on information contained in a report
  • Any financial loss suffered as a result of purchasing a vehicle based on a report
  • Any indirect, consequential, or special loss including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of opportunity
  • Any inaccuracy, omission, or delay in data returned by third-party providers
  • Any loss arising from service unavailability due to technical issues, maintenance, or third-party outages

Where liability cannot be excluded under UK law, our total liability to you in connection with any report shall not exceed the amount you paid for that report.

Critical notice: You purchase and use our reports entirely at your own risk in relation to the purchasing decision you make. Vehicle History Hub is a data reporting service โ€” we are not responsible for decisions made based on that data.

Statutory rights not affected

Nothing in this section limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Ordering & payment

How to order

To purchase a report, you must enter a valid UK vehicle registration number, select a report tier, provide a valid email address for delivery, and complete payment via Stripe. By submitting an order, you are making a binding offer to purchase the selected report at the stated price.

Prices

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Prices are clearly stated before you confirm your order. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already placed and confirmed.

Drip pricing policy: In compliance with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, the price you see before checkout is the full price you will pay. There are no additional fees, mandatory extras, or charges added at the point of payment.

Payment processing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store, see, or have access to your payment card details at any point. By proceeding to payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy, available at stripe.com/gb/legal.

Order confirmation

A successful payment triggers automatic report generation. You will receive your report by email within 30 seconds. Receipt of your report constitutes confirmation that your order has been fulfilled. If you do not receive your report within 5 minutes, check your spam folder and contact us at info@vehiclehistoryhub.co.uk.

Cancellation waiver

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel digital services. By ticking the consent checkbox at checkout, you expressly request immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once the report has been delivered. If you did not tick this checkbox, please contact us before the report is delivered.

6. Report delivery

Reports are delivered by email to the address provided at checkout. Delivery is typically completed within 30 seconds of successful payment. Delivery times may be affected by:

  • High demand periods causing brief processing delays
  • Temporary unavailability of third-party data APIs
  • Email filtering or spam settings on your email provider

We cannot guarantee delivery to email addresses that are incorrect, inactive, or subject to aggressive spam filtering. You are responsible for providing a valid, accessible email address at checkout.

If your report has not arrived within 10 minutes of payment, please check your spam folder first, then contact us at info@vehiclehistoryhub.co.uk with your registration number and order date.

Wrong email address? If you entered an incorrect email address at checkout, contact us immediately. We will attempt to resend to the correct address, but we cannot guarantee this is possible once the report has been generated. This does not qualify for a refund.

7. Refunds

All sales are final. Refunds are only available in specific circumstances โ€” full details are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

In summary, refunds are available only where:

  • Payment was taken but the report was not generated or delivered due to a technical failure on our side
  • A duplicate charge occurred due to a payment processing error
  • The report content is materially faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

Refunds are not available for change of mind, wrong registration entered, dissatisfaction with the results, or any other circumstance not listed above.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use Vehicle History Hub only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not:

  • Use the service for any commercial purpose, resale, or redistribution without prior written consent
  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information when placing an order
  • Attempt to access, copy, or scrape report data by automated means
  • Use reports to harass, defraud, or harm any individual or organisation
  • Attempt to circumvent our payment systems or obtain reports without paying
  • Use the service in any way that violates applicable UK or international law
  • Impersonate Vehicle History Hub or its representatives in any way
  • Submit vehicle registrations for vehicles you do not intend to purchase or have a legitimate interest in checking

Breach of these terms may result in immediate suspension of access to the service, referral of fraudulent activity to the relevant authorities, and civil action to recover any losses suffered by Vehicle History Hub as a result.

9. Intellectual property

All content on vehiclehistoryhub.co.uk โ€” including text, design, layout, code, logos, and report formatting โ€” is the intellectual property of Vehicle History Hub and is protected by UK copyright law.

The underlying vehicle data contained in reports is sourced from third-party databases and remains the property of those data providers. Vehicle History Hub holds a licence to access and present that data.

You may use reports for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute report content for commercial purposes
  • Present report data as your own or remove our branding from reports
  • Resell or sublicense access to our service or our reports
  • Use our name, logo, or branding without prior written consent

10. Data protection & privacy

Vehicle History Hub processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. By using our service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We collect and process only the data necessary to deliver your report and operate our service. We do not sell personal data to third parties. Full details of what we collect, why, and for how long are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Vehicle History Hub is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.

11. Third-party services

Our service relies on the following third-party providers to operate:

  • Vehicle Data Global (VDG) โ€” provides vehicle history data from official UK databases. Data accuracy and availability is subject to VDG's own service levels, which are outside our control.
  • Stripe, Inc. โ€” processes all payments. Stripe's availability and terms govern the payment element of your transaction.
  • Hostinger โ€” provides website hosting. Hosting availability affects site uptime.
  • OpenAI โ€” generates the AI buyer analysis included in Premium reports. The AI analysis is generated based on the vehicle data in your report and is an informational summary only โ€” it does not constitute advice.

Vehicle History Hub is not responsible for the actions, failures, or content of any third-party service. Any disruption caused by a third-party provider does not automatically entitle you to a refund unless it results in a complete failure to deliver your report.

Links to third-party websites on our site are provided for convenience only. We do not endorse or accept responsibility for any third-party content.

12. Availability & changes to the service

We aim to keep vehiclehistoryhub.co.uk available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The site may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Unplanned technical issues
  • Third-party service outages (hosting, payment processor, data API)
  • Circumstances outside our reasonable control

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. Where practical, we will provide advance notice of significant changes. We will not be liable for any losses arising from service modifications or unavailability.

We also reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing law & disputes

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim arising from or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our service.

Dispute resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute with us, we ask that you contact us directly in the first instance at info@vehiclehistoryhub.co.uk. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve the matter informally and promptly.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, you may be entitled to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme. Details of available ADR schemes can be found through the Citizens Advice Bureau or the EU ODR platform.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Entire agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vehicle History Hub in relation to your use of the service, and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
